TIGER BAY

On Friday, November 6th, CFHLA Board Members Jay Leonard of the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort and Brian Wong of Celebration Suites Hotel attended the Tiger Bay Club of Central Florida Luncheon meeting featuring guest speaker Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican National Committee.

CFHLA has secured a “Corporate Membership” for the Tiger Bay Club of Central Florida and at least
2 CFHLA Board Members will be in attendance at regular meetings of the Tiger Bay Club. This opportunity allows “rotating” CFHLA Board Members to build relationships with important Community Leaders and Elected Officials, while increasing CFHLA’s political visibility.

VOTERVOICE

On Monday, November 16th, CFHLA issued an “Action Alert” via VoterVoice to all CFHLA Members, asking Members to contact their State Representatives and State Senators opposing a potential proposal in the State House of Representatives that would allow local Tourist Development Councils to use 10% or more of Tourist Development Tax (TDT) revenues on law enforcement funding purposes.

CFHLA is proud to announce that within 48 hours,
over 105 emails from CFHLA Members were delivered to State Representatives and State Senators in Tallahassee, asking them to preserve the integrity of the Tourist Development Tax and utilize TDT revenues for tourism marketing and promotional purposes only.

The Association will continue monitoring this TDT related issue.

THANK YOU TO ALL CFHLA MEMBERS
WHO PARTICIPATED!
